Adult Ministry

First Baptist has a wide variety of small groups inclusive of Bible study classes, affinity groups, prayer gatherings, mission teams and ministry outlets. Our entry level adult opportunities begins with Sunday morning Bible study groups in which we offer classes for every age range with co-ed and same gender Sunday school classes. If you are interested in growing your understanding of scripture and connecting with other persons in your life station, then we have an opportunity for you. For prayer gatherings we have a regular Tuesday men's group and several women's groups who are organized through WMU. Our mission teams are need based and organized with short-term involvement; recent examples are disaster relief teams to hurricane effected areas along the east coast, Baptist Men's local ramp building projects, WMU annual mission projects, Harvest for Hunger events, etc. Our ministry outlets include a feeding ministry to the needy in our community, handbells, choir, volunteering with senior adults, mentoring children and youth, etc. For more information email or call the church office or any ministerial staff member.

Winter Walking Woes???
Come into the warmth and walk in our Fellowship Hall!! Many of our church folks enjoy walking on Main Street or on our great walking trails...but if the cold or the rain is keeping you from your regular exercise, the Fellowship Hall is an alternative – with great windows to enjoy as you add up those steps!
Just check in with the office staff to be sure there is not a special event taking place.
Available during office hours, M-T 8:00-4:00, Friday 8:00-noon
